Customer Reviews

"We read through the reviews of the two barbecue places in town and we decided to go to big Mac and I'm really glad that we did. I don't see that the building is run out looked just like a authentic old-fashioned barbecue place to us. The food was excellent the lady that owns a place and cooks the Food's hard-working lady in town. She's got several businesses. She was nice as could be. The banana pudding was amazing. The ribs were amazing. All the sides were amazing. We will be back. also the people that said the portions are small me and my husband could not eat it all and we took two to go boxes of food. Our waitress was sweet !"

"Stopped here on way back to Shreveport La because the reviews were really good. We almost turned around because of the way it looked outside. DO NOT TURN AWAY!! The food was really good the beans were great coleslaw was fresh and the brisket was yummy. Only thing is the portions are not plenty for the price you pay. But def decent barbecue. UPDATE: stopped in again oct.5.25 Had rib plate this time with of course beans and coleslaw. Ribs were great fall off the bone moist!!! The coleslaw was a bit on the sweet side but still good."

"Does not look like much from the outside. Don't judge a book by its cover though !!! Inside was great !! Had the brisket and pulled pork. I will be back !! There baked beans are amazing !!!"

"We LOVED the hand-cut fries which were soft in the middle yet not greasy--hard to find this perfect combo. We also LOVED the Bobcat Burger which comes with 2 homemade 1/4# patties normally (I requested just one) & a nice slice of brisket with the burnt ends attached. D R O O L ! I also enjoyed the pulled pork sandwich with slaw that I dumped right on top. The sauce is too sweet for me but that's the case most of the time. The sweet tea was perfectly sweetened & is also just right ordered as 1/2 sweet. Looking forward to making this my meal of choice in-between DFW & NEA. I love the charm of the old-school inner & outer--quintessential hidden gem feature."

"Looks can be deceiving when pulling up, but my goodness one of the top 3 burgers I've ever had, if not the top. Got the smash burger and the lunch portion of the brisket loaded nachos. Nachos were also good! But that burger... we're driving back through tomorrow and we might stop back. Tell your friends."

- Katie R.

"We are glad we stopped at Big Mac's. The service was excellent and people friendly. The catfish and okra was better than average. The beans were too sweet. The sausage was good. The building is understated and the bathroom could use an update."
